— under laden snow clouds

Good Morning All,

It’s done! Or to misquote Catholic liturgy; “Go, the Move is over, praise be to God.”

 If you like stats:

1. Esther lent us her trailer for the week and we used it to make 31 trips to the dump. The trailer and back of the car were chocker-block each time with sofas, bookcases, paper, flowerpots, bottles, lawnmowers, ancient magazines you name it.
2. We made seven trips between our old and new house, one in a largish rented van, one following the big moving van, two in a smaller rented van, and three just in the packed car.
3. Mileage: 7 kilometers round trip to the dump and back = 217 K. Round trips between the two houses = 104 K x 7 = 728 kilometres. So: just under a thousand kilometres.

And this morning we awoke to a dusting of snow, the first snow of the winter here in Denmark. In the half light of the early dawn, our back yard and the trees beyond are pristine in their silent beauty.

Just by way of incidentally, it’s beginning to look as though I shall be scribbling down a few words here each morning. Probably mostly just random thoughts, weather reports, and such. Maybe a comment on one of the poets. If so, please do not feel under any obligation to respond. That would soon rob the Day Book of any pleasure it might afford you. You would say seeing it there in you in-box, “Oh, rats! I’d like to open this and see the pictures, and there might be a decent poem for a change, but there’s always that damn note to make me wonder if I should respond.”

So, please feel no need to answer!

If you are in the mood to respond, fine. For example, thanks, Cliff, for pointing out Early Wynn pitched for the White Sox. I’d always thought he pitched for Cleveland. And Steve, my official new address is:

Kløvervænget 4
Fjenneslev, 4173
Denmark

Mobile phone: 31 12 90 12
Other e-mail address: Bhekap@gmail.com

Kløvervænget is Danish for Clover Lane. One could do worse than to live at 4 (Leaf) Clover Lane.

I have three bedrooms, so there is lots of room for any of you who want to visit the classier part of Europe. I’d be delighted to show you around.

Go well and stay well,

Bhekaron
